What music do you listen to?

metal(motorhead, maiden, megadeth, black sabbath, blind guardian etc) and classic rock(hendrix, zeppelin, stones, beatles etc) with some other stuff mixed in.

Mostly rock but lately with all the boybands and britney sort coming up its become hard to find anything decent.I think the last cd I got was bryan adams ON A DAY LIKE TODAY.

Bit of light rock, y'know Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, Muse, Radiohead etc.
But my favourite shit is Trance music. I mean the good stuff of course, not the shite you'll hear on the radio which masquerades as trance music. I like Tiesto, Armin, Scott Bond etc etc, and I figure that someone needs to chop off ian van dahls hands so he cant make any more of that shite he calls trance.

Just bought Linkin Park-Meteora, Smile Empty Soul, Shinedown - Leave a Whisper (Re-released)

Been listening to Shinedown mostly.

mostly classic rock but also some of, alternative, blues, techno, ska (no doubt), 40's swing music when i get the chance-hahahaha. and very small amounts of pop, R&B, and country. the country usually has to be sung by a female, and if not then it has to be funny.

some of my favorite bands/groups in no particular order:
metallica
ac/dc
van halen
no doubt
aerosmith
dire straits (and Mark Knopfler solo)
jimmy buffett
fleetwood mac (only with stevie)
black crowes
U2
Tom Petty
etc.

What kind of music is it? :hatsoff:

I call it "symphonic metal" cause they use classic instruments and even orchestras in their music, and their singer is a opera-singer.

Grateful Dead, allman brothers, stones, the band, little feet, van morrison, johnny cash, blues traveler, norah jones, Eric clapton, gordon lightfoot, ben harper, bob dylan, bob marley, CCR, CSNY, Boz scaggs, jimmy Buffett, fleetwood mac, the rippingtons, miles davis, spyro gyra, stevie wonder, bodeans, phish, The who, REM, Elvis, John Hyatt, the beatles, jack johnson, Edwin mCcain, elton John, joe jackson, hootie & TBF, ryan adams, robert randolph & the family, sly & the family stone, war, willie nelson, john mellencamp, jeff buckley, jimmy cliff, michael stanley band, lenny kravitz, led zeppelin, dr. john, Neil Diamond, blink 182, carol king, bob segar, billy joel, billy idol, 10,000 mainiacs, doobie bros, sheryl crow, sarah mcLaughlin, U2, the saw doctors, the police, melissa ethridge, joss stone, parlament, pearl jam charlie daniels band, hank williams, diana krall, dido, outkast, liz phair, the corrs. Many others and many solo efforts and side projects by those bands I can stand just about anything except metal, classical, and opera.

Lightning-

You mention all those good bands, how could you leave out Widespread Panic. I am a lifelong fan but I also dig:

80s REAL Metal - Maiden, Priest, Testament, Old Metallica
Primus, Pantera, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Drive by Truckers, Particle, Floyd, Dead, Motley Crue, Ratt, Cinderella, Johnny Cash, DMB, etc.

I have a little of panic, I came in late to their popularity so I'm not a diehard like some. I have my dead tickets in hand for July 28. they have been playing some killer sets on this tour. check out www.dead.net and hit the summer tour link. :hatsoff:

this is what i listen to:coolman:
eminem/d12
snoop dog
dr dre
Tupac Shakur
50cent
outkast
black eyed peas
Oasis
Jay-Z

You go from Oasis to 50 Cent? Thats a headache waiting to happen for me. (If your talking about the band from Britain Oasis.)

I never did get what people like about Van Halen... Im a big fan of classic rock, but I just can't stand it... Or Ozzy Solo... Sabbath had some good albums but they aren't as great as everyone makes them out to be.

I just can't stand Van Halen though...

My current FAVORITE band is Godsmack though... And I still religiously buy the Rolling Stone Albums...

Mainly 80s right now, Depeche Mode, Tears For Fears, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran.........

Kylie of course!

Bond and Vanessa Mae.
