- Emily Armstrong and Phoenix join Mike Jones to talk about the next era for Linkin Park, how Emily came into the band, the nerves going into the first shows and now the North American tour is starting soon, choosing what would go on the deluxe edition of 'From Zero' and wanting more music to come soon, Phoenix needs to play more golf, Emily's 12 year old Prius and the crazy green alien sunglasses!

Happy for Emily and Colin - this also goes to show that if you want to even stand a chance at making it in music. You just have to reside in Los Angeles and relentlessly be present/available to even be considered
The green alien glasses was from me. I was the one who threw it to the stage. Next time when Linkin Park return to Jakarta, Indonesia I would give Emily the same green alien glasses and please don't throw it back to the crowd 😆

That first livestream show was awesome,, Emily was incredible,, both she & Colin are perfect for Linkin park, nice to see phoenix doing an interview, Emily is incredibly funny, still driving the same car & changing her own tyres😂,,, an incredible band back doing what they do the best
Kind of randomly found this but really enjoyed the interview and I love the honesty of the band.
Emily is everything. Unforgettable voice, pretty face, awesome personality, cool person and now, I just learned that when she received things thrown at her or on the stage, she thought of giving it back to the audience to share it as memorabilia. How can you not love her?
A lot of folks don't like her due to her ties to Scientology. She also supported a rapist, Danny Masterson. She isn't stupid, she knew Danny was a sketchy guy, you can't be that close to someone and not pick up on those things.
@LeadMe2TheBliss she was a teenager, it's not like she was with him 24/7, he was just a friend, she didn't even support him, going to one pre-trial hearing to see the evidence isn't support, she didn't write letters or went back to court after that, i would do the same for my friend.

@ No. What I am saying is I know that she hung out with Hollywood trash and YOU know that too. I wish her the best though and vocally I think she is actually doing a solid job! I'm not necessarily trying to be a hater but I don't think we should ignore the facts either. I'm not going to go after the Scientology stuff though because we are all born into a religion but that doesn't mean as an adult she will remain a part of that religion. All I'm saying is...there is controversy surrounding this young lady and it doesn't look like it's going away anytime soon.

The question about Emily's car was a little weird. Who asks someone "why don't you have a fancier car?" in an interview? And then when she said she likes it and it works, to continue to say "Dave, maybe you can get her a better car?" is awkward.
Exactly 💯, is like these interviewers expect her to be all about the fancy stuff like most of these female celebrities out there, they don't realize that Emily is really down to Earth, and has been through a lot that she's not into that "Hollywood craze", she said she still feels the same even though she knows things have changed for her, but she's still Emily, that's really cool and humble, if she wasn't gay, she's the kind of lady a good man should keep and adore. However, I hope whomever her partner is treats her really well, she's seems like a good person, despite all the negative propaganda against her, she's not perfect, and have made mistakes as we all, but I believe she means well, and that's what matters. More success to Linkin Park.❤

Why does everyone keep saying that Emily's joining LP was a well-kept secret? Jay Gordon, the singer of Orgy, leaked many months earlier that LP had found a new female singer.
No one knew the name until reveal.
@@ma9k9928 Yes, but I mean it's not true that they managed to successfully hide the information about the upcoming reunion and the fact that the new singer is a woman until the very end.
Because for something of this size, for the only leak to be one guy to say he heard some rumours (and he wasn't a credible source as he had no connection to the band) is incredible, and is basically considered no leaks.
Imagine someone comes up to you and saying they heard someone else say that some is going to happen, but they don't have a way to know it themselves, don't tell you who told them that information, and don't give out any specific details. Would you consider that a leak?
@@Ariel_thenotsolittlemermaid Jay is from the same nu metal scene, I assumed that he might have heard something through mutual acquaintances and I believed that it wasn't just a rumor. Especially when, after several years of silence, Linkin Park suddenly began to regularly present previously unreleased singles, released a greatest hits album - I felt that something was brewing in their camp. So when their live show stream started and a woman came on stage, I wasn't surprised at all.
