Like the previous films, it's a side story that has no bearing on the main plot of the anime/manga, but assumes the viewers are up to date with it. In the case of this film, it's set after the UA Traitor arc but before the final arc. It was released on August 2, 2024. It was animated by Bones_(company) and features mostly the same cast and crew as the rest of the franchise, except for being directed by Okamura Tensai (another studio Bones veteran) instead of series director Nagasaki Kenji. The film is set after the Paranormal Liberation War, which has left numerous cities devastated. Class 1-A and the rest of the UA continue their hero duties while working in a war zone like setting. On one mission, the students encounter a girl, Anna Scervino, being kidnapped by a villain. The students try to rescue her and discover that she's being held captive by the Gollini mafia family, which is led by a man who physically looks and sounds like All Might. This man, Dark Might, names himself as the successor to the retired All Might, but preaches a complete perversion of All Might's ideals. Dark Might and the Gollini family want Anna by their side because of her formidable Quirk, which will allow Dark Might to realize his twisted idea of a peaceful world under the Gollini family's control. Because of Anna's incredible power, she is also being pursued by her former butler Giulio who plans to kill her in order to spare her and the rest of the world from any more suffering caused by her Quirk. Midoriya Izuku has other ideas and believes he can find a way to save Anna without killing her. Midoriya must now work with Giulio to rescue Anna and foil the Gollini family's plans before it's too late. . .
